Roger Tuen brings more than 20 years of international life science experience in commercial, business development and general management roles in listed companies. He has negotiated several licensing agreements with multinational and regional companies, and managed strategic alliances and partnerships throughout his career. He holds a MSc in Pharmacy from the University of Oslo and a MBA from the Norwegian School of Management and ESCP-EAP, France.
John Sigurd Svendsen

John Sigurd Svendsen

Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Svendsen brings extensive research experience in medical biochemistry, synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry, specializing in antibacterial peptides. Dr. Svendsen received his PhD from the University of Tromsø, and has been visiting scientist at several distinguished international institutions, including in the laboratory of Professor K.B. Sharpless (Nobel Laureate, Chemistry, 2001 and 2022) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a professor of organic chemistry and vice-dean of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Tromsø. Dr. Svendsen is also a co-founder of Lytix Biopharma AS, a Norwegian pharmaceutical company focusing on cancer immunotherapy.

Ola Skavlem brings extensive experience in investing, financial and accounting from PwC, private technology companies and investment firm. He holds a MSc in Business and Economics with a major in Finance from the Norwegian Business School and a MSc in Accounting from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Njål Tage Gjerdalen

Njål Tage Gjerdalen

Vice President Business Development

Njål Tage Gjerdalen holds a Medical Doctor degree from the University of Oslo and has cultivated a unique blend of expertise at the intersection of medicine and business. He brings six years of experience from national and international leadership roles at the pharmaceutical company Sanofi, where he managed two business units in Norway.
Pontus Lundberg

Pontus Lundberg

Vice President Research & Development

Pontus Lundberg brings experience in designing materials for biomedical applications both from industry and academia. His academic background includes a MSc in chemical engineering from Uppsala University and a PhD in polymer chemistry from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Followingly, he spent 2 years as postdoctoral scholar at UC Santa Barbara. Most recently Pontus worked for Thermo Fisher Scientific for nearly 10 years in R&D both as a researcher and in management.

Regulatory Director

Jon has extensive international experience from the medical device industry, including in leadership positions, focusing on development projects from innovation to commercialisation, spanning a range of technologies and risk classifications. Jon holds a MSc in Physics from Lund University.

Senior Scientist

Wenche has extensive experience working with antimicrobial compounds at UiT The Arctic University of Norway and for our founding company Lytix Biopharma. Wenche holds a MSc in Chemistry from UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

Bora Sieng

Senior Scientist

Bora has experience from R&D positions at the University of Oslo and a pharmaceutical start-up, in addition to 7 years of experience in IP management in an international Norwegian company. Qualified as European Patent Attorney. Bora holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Glasgow.

Senior Scientist

Leva has experience from R&D roles in biotech startups, focusing on specialized coatings and paints. Leva holds a PhD in Material Science and Nanotechnology from the University of Oslo, complemented by a master’s degree in Polymer Science.

Business Development Manager

Erik has experience from management consulting working with strategy and business development focusing on emerging industries and scale-ups. Erik holds a MSc in Nanotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), specializing in bionanotechnology.

Scientist

Lindsey has extensive experience working with antimicrobial compounds and testing these against a variety of microorganisms both in academia and biotech industry. Lindsey holds a MSc in Marine Biotechnology from UiT The Arctic University of Norway with specialization in antimicrobial compounds.

Lab Engineer

Silje has experience including a R&D role in a global healthcare company and working in a hospital-based medical microbiology laboratory. Silje holds a BSc in biotechnology and chemical engineering and an MSc in biomedicine from Oslo Metropolitan University.

Industrial PhD Student

Sebastian holds a MSc in Materials Chemistry from Chalmers University of Technology. He has previous experience from industrial laboratories.
